May we all meet again on the last day, when time is no more, and we, too, are risen in Christ.

On any other day...I might be tempted to argue with you, but just can't bring myself to do it today Chrisvet, whenever it was for you, let the knowledge that it happened take over you and feel the joy!

Doesn't mean we don't celebrate Jesus or his birth this weekend. Just saying the backstory is bullshit.

Jesus was 33 1/2 years old when he died in March/April(Nisan 14). That would have also put his birth around September/October. There is nothing about Jesus birth or death that corresponds to December.

CHRIST IS RISEN! "THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK" - THE 18TH DAY OF NISAN.
(Our Saturday sunset: "the third day" of Matthew 16:21, etc.; not the third day of the Feast.)

The Resurrection of the LORD Jesus Christ took place after our Saturday sunset, "after three days" (Matthew 27:63. Mark 8:31). Matt. 28:1-10, Mark 16:1-18, Luke 24:1-49, John 20:1-23

The LORD Jesus was crucified and died on our Wednesday (NOT Friday); was buried on that day before sunset; and remained "three days and three nights" in the tomb, as foretold by Him in Matthew 12:40; rising from the dead on "the third day", "the first day of the week".

Yes, dear Mrs.O, Happy Easter to all here. I have been lately listening to the uplifting messages of Maya Angelou... like the so appropriate one (Still I Rise) maybe someone else here could use her message too. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Teach peace and harmony.

Some of those chicks dye their own easter eggs; sometimes they really do just come out of the chicken bums green and blue and pink. But they are the same on the inside.

Luke 24 and the other Gospels tells us what happened on the third day early in the morning we celebrate this day , called Easter. The Cross did many things for us and I always reflect how God used the women mentioned at the Cross and the Tomb. He allowed women to discover , receive the Message from two Angels and take that Message, Jesus has Risen. The churches are all over the place with women in the church but really it is clear on certain things. Some Churches take the one verse 1 Corinthians 14:34 to the extreme women cant even say Amen , while others ignore it completely saying it was for that Church at that time and ignore all other the instructions for women in Church. Men and women in Church do have clear roles in other Books in the Bible.
Women from the front to the back are used in mighty ways. I always wished every Church had a replica of the Tomb along with the Cross and women share the the Message this day and every day, He is Risen... The men did not believe the women that day. Eve and the Tree in the Garden can still be seen in this story.
I am a woman and I am happy to bring the Message to all that Jesus suffered and died for all that will follow Him , He rose and left us The Holy Spirit to be our guide and one day He will return for us.

Luke 24 (NKJV)
1Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them,came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. 2 But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. 3Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. 5 Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’”
8 And they remembered His words. 9 Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles. 11 And their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them. 12 But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened.
