Ex-Mormon Bishop a 'Good Man' I knew of a situation in my town concerning a middle-aged woman who lived with her frail 85-yr-old mother who suffered from dementia. She leaves her mother to go to the store, but forgot her money. She gets home, and her mother's blouse is unbuttoned, and this former "Bishop" is standing there. By the way, this guy had already been "banned" from entering a senior home in the next town for his lewd behavior toward elderly women. The woman takes a brave first step and files a complaint to the residing Bishop. Instead of standing in her defense, he firmly advises her to accept a mere apology from the guy who mishandled her Mom, because he was a "GOOD MAN" who made a few poor choices, and because it would be "in her best interests" and in the "best interests of the community" for her not to pursue it any further. That seems to be the standard protocol around here. I'm surprised this other case even made it to the Court. |

Ex-Mormon Bishop a 'Good Man' In this Thursday, March 30, 2017, photo, Keith Vallejo leaves the courtroom, in Provo, Utah. A Utah judge sentencing the former Mormon bishop said the convicted rapist was an "extraordinary, good man" who did something wrong. The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Judge Thomas Low appeared to become emotional on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, when he sentenced Vallejo to up to life in prison for 10 counts of forcible sexual abuse and one count of object rape.
