Nobody Forced Millennials To Go To College And Go Into Major Debt. | |
Resister User ID: 36421936 United States 04/20/2017 03:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It has nothing to do with being forced. So many of them have been taught their whole lives by just about every conceivable influence (parents, teachers, media, government, and friends) that they must go to college because it will make them smart and get them jobs. They have been told someone else will pay for it and life will be great if they just go to college their whole lives. This obsession with institutions of higher programming and acceptance of enslaving debt right at the start of your adult life is a societal illness that has infected young people and it was done on purpose. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787 |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56935341 1.) All personal debt is to be figured out in advance, planned for careful use, and personally chosen for a specific reason. Nobody and no circumstances "forced" them to sign the loan papers. 2.) Taking stupid courses in college which result in a useless degree was what they wanted to do. 3.) Life is full of opportunities, but has few guaranteed results. 4.) Just as they chose to be stupid, they can choose to become smart. 5.) Even if somebody hurt them or forced them to get into a jam, blaming the person (s) accomplishes nothing. Whiners always lose. Lol. I cannot believe they need to hear this. Of course, when you look at their tattoos, piercings, hair colors, and overpriced fashions it is hard for potential employers to take them seriously. Then they turn around and bitch that retired persons are living too large when it is usually barely enough. "I have it rough so everyone else should have it rough" is pretty much what they are saying. |

Show me a 17 year old that isn't gullible and doesn't want to do everything society asks of him to get his little slice of the pie, which is what they did, and got fucked for it. By you. When they walk into your retirement home and slice your fucking throat, you'll have nobody to blame but yourself. You just admitted as much. |

Now, everyone has to have a masters degree, a bachelors is no longer adequate, its like a high school diploma was when I was in school. What do you get with a masters? more brainwashing and professors rewarded for wasting your time. Many jobs now require continuing education in their field to keep the family split apart while everyone is in school. This crap ain't by accident or consequence, it was well planned out to destroy ethics, morals, history, culture, and Christianity. We give away billions to other nations, welfare bums, career single mommies, and refugees, but someone trying to become educated to become a producer and contributor to society is saddled with high interest? Think about this crap for a moment. |

Most of my friends from school went through uni in the UK. The minority that didn't are either broke or rich, I work in agriculture now, great salaries and no competition for promotion. In the next few years I could be running a 1000 acre orchard, great experience for moving onto the huge farms at 40+. No debts, love my job and now I am thinking about taking it to the higher education level (and my company is willing to help!!) |
