Thank you all very much for your input.
One thing is there is no concensus. You either love or hate or sit on the fence about Jesus.
How does one account for all the suffering in the world and reconcile a good God. This is a belief thing again.
So how do you go about believing without seeing.
I believe i'm immortal. But tech will do this eventually so I account for that as well. Though if there is a God then Tech isn't true immortality.
I would really like to see some light and knowledge amongst the secrets and darkness of this universe.
One truth could totally change the whole world.
I would like to believe without seeing.
I guess there isn't anything harder.
I consider the mystery of the bible worthy of my time. If it can be solved then it would bring alot of peace to the world and to me.
Was Jesus defeated by the cross could be another way to say "Was Jesus Resurrected".
Do you think Jesus was defeated by the cross?
Quoting: Leeda That's the wrong question to ask. He willingly surrendered to being subjected to the cross. The question you should ask is why did he do this? He knew the ramifications of doing it. What it would do to him, what he would be subjected to. What he would have to overcome. He knew that doing all of that would overcome the sins of all who ask for him to be their savior. So no, the cross did not defeat him. He was a willing sacrifice who overcame death itself to pay for our sins.
