My first driftwood just now, been listening most of the day so far it was just some French fisherman.

Nothing alarming sounding yet... but the night has just begun.

I was on there just as the 125 character EAM was ending then it all started going laggy (others in the chatbox were saying that same thing) now it's inaccessible.

Im on it now and people are saying something every few minutes but I dont understand what they are saying. They said something about 25100 then out. Im a noob at this

Last I heard was a long 125 character message read by a female voice approx 45 minutes ago. The websdr server broke down at the repetition (probably too many users, 600+ and @ 140% cpu), failed to catch the callsign. Unusual.

It is quiet now. Anyone have a newbie link to this? It would be greatly appreciated pleas :)

Anyone fluent in the French language that can give a clue what they are chatting about... typically just after the regular transmissions of messages in US military alphapet code?

On 8892 kHz (and 11175 etc).

Got a very faint reception of a message like 20 minutes ago. Listening to the SD radio in Netherlands at UTwente. Usually they come through loud and clear but this was too faint to read clearly (actually *decoding*... forget about it of course :-)

How far away is it reasonable for this station to pick up messages during nighttime conditions?

Sort of interesting if you like to have some background noise when working... haha! But what can be sort of informative are message clarity (distance correlated), message length (message complexity) and frequency (urgency, control needs) if you need food for speculating on what is actually in the making right now.
