Clairvoyant Theprit Palee, 25, was performing a folk ritual to honour ancestral spirits when he tried to impress spectators by pressing a sword against his chest in a bid to appear superhuman. But tragedy struck when he accidentally plunged the blade into himself after it failed to snap. Horrified onlookers watched on as crowds of rescuers attempted to revive the spirit but he later died at hospital. Very funny if you like gallows humor and for added extra phun Tom Wait's has a sizable role in the flick. His speech/story about the straight tree and the crooked tree ranks as one of my all time favorite's. There's also a screwed up cult leader that engages in similar behavior as the stabbing himself in the heart psychic which is what brought the movie to mind.
