I learned recently that a discovery was made that "spinning" (fast cycling on a stationary bicycle) exercise can halt Parkinson's symptoms in patients with active Parkinson's for up to two weeks at a time, after just one spinning workout. It does something to reset things for a spell.

I got my Dad one of those pedal things that you can put on the floor. His legs go 'dead' on him, and his balance isn't great, so I thought a stationary bike might be an accident waiting to happen. He doesn't do it enough to notice a difference, and I'm not close enough to nag him about it.

I had read about the benefits of it as well.
