Re: Star TREK HIPPIES
They had some really rotten episodes in season 3. This was one of them. NBC cut so much money from the budget.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73333810

6-7 years after the original series ended, SNL did a funny parody of it the first season, with John Belushi as Captain Kirk.

Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor not a musician!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36617615

SCTV's Dave Thomas did Bones McCoy as a guest on the Julia Child cooking show (Mrs. Child humbly played by none other than John Candy) once on an SCTV skit and in playing Julia, John asks Dr. McCoy to great some parmesan cheese. As John (Julia) is stirring the pasta, he nonchalantly asks Bones McCoy how the parmesan is coming out. Bones, not missing a beat, LASHES out at the French Chef SCREAMING: "DAMNIT JULIA, THERE'S A LIMIT TO HOW MUCH CHEESE ONE MAN CAN GRATE!!!" .. LOL

I used to tape SCTV literally every single week, 1977-1984. I remember that episode and have it! However, haven't touched the "archives" in (floor-to-celing) storage since 2005. Don't know when I will but when I locate it, will try to upload it. utube prob. will pull it down but I will try.

Re: Star TREK HIPPIES
I hated this episode as a kid and hate it now.
Extremely smarmy and cringeworthy.
I was embarrassed for the actors.
Whoever wrote this episode was a major fail.
The only thing I'm interested in about this is, I'd love to see what the people who played the hippies look like now.
