Exactly, this is why issuing a patch for XP is 'highly unusual'...
-Armchair General-

"No man is entitled to the blessings of freedom unless he be vigilant in its preservation." -General of the Army Douglas MacArthur

"I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major General and during that period, I spent most of my time being a high-class muscle man for big business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism." -Major General Smedley D. Butler, USMC - 1933

Re: Microsoft issues ‘highly unusual’ Windows XP patch to prevent massive ransomware attack
Microsoft you know what you did --YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!!!

Or, more precisely, did not do. For example when autoruns was made, did you promote that dude to head of design? No, you dumbfucks paid him off and gave him a small chest of specialness, while you ran the company off a cliff, danconia style.

There are many ways to stop this shit from infecting an XP machine. And also, some scientists say, there might even be a way to have android be secure as well. I suppose we won't know until the day of truth.

This is strange. Maybe XP can't be monitored like new operating systems. So all this is a big false flag to get ms spy ware into millions of XP machines.

The best is ... kill all updates ! as every shit virus that is fed into win XP is by means of the updates !

and the patch in itself may be another time bomb !

I discovered all back doors are in-bedded in the updates themselves Microsoft is full of shit! the blue screen kill virus gets inside the machine by means of the updates ...

its a Microsoft machine & software kill switch !

Re: Microsoft issues ‘highly unusual’ Windows XP patch to prevent massive ransomware attack
this is why this is BULL SHIT

if anything they would use this as an opportunity to push people to upgrade by virtue of the fact that they do not support XP

instead they break with policy and do "support" it

does the patch have something special in it?

or maybe it is just the fact that you can still but xp on brand new computers even though technically it is no longer supported

Microsoft did stop supporting it, that's why this patch is unusual. But they know there are millions of systems around the world still running XP (some of them no doubt running critical infrastructure).

This makes no sense, what do you think this whole WannaCry thing is about? Windows XP being TOO secure that it has a massive vulnerability that takes down countless systems across the globe? So TPTB install a patch to uh.. make it easier to hack? What are you smoking.

You think these people who got their hard drives encrypted at getting their data back? Lol no. Most people in China and Russia were many of the infections are had pirated XP and got blown the fk out. Microsoft does probably want new Windows 10 Contracts from the NHS. If anything WannaCry is pro Microsoft as you say but the patch being some kind of stealth Windows Malware Monitoring would be at best a bonus action. The real damage was that big organizations got wrecked.

I mostly just put in sleep mode.
If I restart, the updates will be installed.
I don't know much, that's why I ask.

Anyone else?
