Public Libraries Hosting ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ for Children
BROOKLYN, N.Y. — “Who wants to be a drag queen when they grow up?” That’s the question a man dressed as a woman recently asked children attending “Drag Queen Story Hour” (DQSH) at a public library in New York.

It’s one of several cities across the country—including San Francisco and Los Angeles—who have signed on to the program, created by Michelle Tea of Radar Productions.Following the reading, he led the children in a song and dance, singing, “The hips on the drag queen go swish, swish, swish” and “The heels on the drag queen go higher, higher.”

Something is seriously wrong with people now a days.

It's in Canada too.

"Read by Queens, a story time event for kids hosted by local drag queens, will be a drop-in event held on Saturday, from 2-3:30 p.m., at the Millennium Library, in partnership with Sunshine House.

The event will be hosted again on May 31 from 6:30-8 p.m., at the West End Library, which is not coincidentally during Pride Week, May 26 to June 4. This session will require registration. But both Read by Queens events will be free of charge.

Levi Foy, who is one of the organizers and will be reading as a drag queen, is excited to see how the event will go. Though similar events have take place in various cities in the U.S., Foy’s friends encouraged him to start a similar event here.

“We emailed the library, and asked, ‘Can this be a thing?’ And they were super excited, so we met with them,” said Foy, also know as Prairie Sky.

Karin Borland, Coordinator of Youth Services at Winnipeg Public Library, talked to other organizers of drag queen reading events in Canada, and she hopes the impact will mimic what she’s heard.

“Parents at these events talk about how valuable an experience it is for demonstrating for children how to be open-minded, about people who are different than yourself, and just living in a community with diverse families,” said Borland. “That’s really the impact we’re looking for, that inclusiveness and that feeling of community.”"

Now this is in cooperation with "sunshine house"
So I checked it out

"We provide harm reduction supplies such as crack pipes, syringes, tourniquets, cotton balls, spoons, condoms (internal and external), and lubricant. Sunshine House is one of the few organizations that lets people help themselves to supplies, so no one is required to ask staff to access them."
