The word “rapture” is not in the original Bible text because it is Latin and the Bible was not written in Latin, but in Hebrew and Greek. The word in Greek is harpazo, meaning: caught up / snatched away. You can find it (for example) in 1 Thess. 4:17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP (harpagesometha) together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord”(KJAV).
