I guarantee you half the people on disability don't deserve it while there is an equal number of people who do but are denied. That shit needs to be fixed.

I'm not the AC you're responding to, but I for one can say I know at least a dozen people on disability and only 1 is even close to legit. The other 11 are for drug addictions, alcoholism, PTSD and "bad" backs and knees due to morbid obesity. Don't lie, your experiences are the same as the rest of us. For ever 1 legitimately broken human being we know another 10 on disability solely for the gibs. the bad knees, backs,and ptsd are valid disabilities .... if the alcoholism and drug addiction is related to mental illness thats another valid disability if it impedes working some of those obese peoole may not know it, but the pain meds they are taking cld be the cause of the weight gain ... as many of those cause weight gain and doctors apparently dont seem to warn of the side effect or tske note when people hv gained weight ... better to put up with the pain and not gain the weight, bc as you indicated it can led to other conditions this world is a really bad hot mess of FUBAR
