Memorial Day 2017, What is it?

Do you know what it is a remembrance of?

It's not Veterans' Day, when we honor everyone who has served, and taken the hard path to defend America.

Memorial Day is different and specific. It honors the fallen.

American soldiers who have died in the line of duty.
The duty of defending Americans, America, and the Constitution to which they pledged their lives.

Men and women warriors who fought and died so that we didn't have to.

Heroes in every sense of the word. Men and women who valued the ideals of this unique and impossibly-wonderful country more than their own lives.

Thank you soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, reservists, and all who gave the ultimate gift to the rest of us.

God bless you, and may we live to honor the values you died for.
