It feels horrible which is why you quit in the first place.

I haven't drunk for 4 years. Feel much better for it.

It might be a good idea to drink, just to remember how bad it is... That's how I dealt with junk food cravings. Stuffed my face, felt sick, and remembered why I quit.

I found coconut juice or malt drinks a good substitute for beer. They taste similar, spike the blood sugar, and have that ssssssscccccchp ring pull sound.

you will feel so bad if you do that now, maybe it is the mentality of thinking drink = drunk when you could have a glass of red wine with an awesome meal which is plenty for me to just chill with, but if you think you cannot moderate alchohol then please dont destroy yourself because there are plenty of idiots doing that for us like in Manchester where I am from !!

I quit a couple years ago . I have done it a few times since. I cant get into it anymore. It didnt take much to get drunk but then I didnt stop and got pretty wasted. I had a 3 day hangover from what used to be a normal amount. I am a binge drinker. Lots of people make excuses that I was drunk. well you were sober before the first drink is what I always say. Its not worth it

Drink a kombucha tea, it will satisfy the craving without sending you off the wagon.

4 months sober here. I was very tempted the last 3 days in a row to just say fuck it and grab some beer and slam them for that glorious dopamine boosting feel, but ultimately decided against it. gonna do some excersize now.

That urge wont go away and the longer you leave it, the worse it will be. In an ideal world, you would be with someone that has the same problem and you plan your lives around being drunk one weekend every three months. Take a mini vacation and it is something to look forward to and it will kill the urge and replace it with anticipation. If you are good at that pattern, that is the cure. Not drinking at all for a drinker is a cure for breathing or freedom - that's it.

Sobriety is the devils playground; you've been domesticated and bound, wine and beer is food, distilled spirits both medicine and fuel.

Brew your own and drink it; do not forget sharing.

Stopping yourself from having something you really want is the bit that'll fuck you up.

The longer you want it, the more you want it.

Then it becomes so big that it wins in the end, and the relapse is bad.

Then comes the self-loathing, and to combat that, you use some more.
