This is why I respect Putin. He knows what's going on in this world, and discusses it in a fair and honest way.

He avoids scandal when asked tough questions, always being diplomatic, even when bringing up the underlying truths of why things are how they are. His considerations for better ways of approaching problem areas are rational ones, even when said with a bit of cynicism in frustration. It's a 'what's done is done' approach, saying now we just have to find ways to move forward.

This particular part is a good example:
