The lure used is less important than the time of day and the mood of the fish.

I've had days where I used every lure in the tackle box and couldn't even get a nibble.

And I've had days where literally every lure in the box was dragging in fish.

When I was a kid, one of the best lures I ever used was the little marshmallows out of Lucky Charms cereal.

I think fishing lures are designed to catch fisherman, more than fish.

Some days the fish just aren't biting. Some days lures work better than bait, some days the exact opposite. As for lures... chartreuse Bass Assassin jigs are dynamite around the DFW area, and fairly cheap at wallyworld.
Lol a 30 pack, can of corn and a can of Vienna sausages can keep ya up to your eyeballs in perch, bluegill and sunfish all day long
