TPMS runs on 315MHZ and 433MHZ. Pure inventory control. TPMS uses a different frequency. Nothing nefarious." Standard response. "Nothing to see here, folks. Nobody is being tracked. Trust us. Move along now". Makes one wonder how tire manufacturers were able to "control inventory" before inserting RFID tags into tires. |

After finding one in my shoes - i would like to know what else they are in. At Wal-Mart they were testing putting them in the waist bands of underwear and other pieces of clothing When combined with knowing what you bought there ... AND their facial recognition technology ... Wal-Mart would effectively know when you walked in any of their stores. While for now Wal-Mart keeps it's data to it's self there is no reason why they couldn't change that policy in the future and sell it one and all, including the government, which could then have sidewalk scanners that ID most of the people walking past (just like license plate readers do now) and tracking you where ever you went. |
