I was born in Albury Australia in 1979. The war happened when I was 10 years old. We escaped most of it, just a few outback spy bases were nuked, and the Russians set off an EMP nuke in space over Australia. Most world trade stopped, but we had stockpiles of food so we could ride it out. Even when the refugees started pouring in. But then they started coming armed.

The Japanese were the worst. They organised pirate fleets and raided as far as Indonesia and India, loading up on rice and livestock for their starving cold people back home. The worst the Nuke Winter got, the further they raided, until they were hitting our own coastline.

It was constant war, constant struggle. In 1994 American military refugees launched an attempted coup, backed up by uprisings in the refugee camps. The feral government pretty much collapsed under the strain. I was 16 I joined the Riverina Militia and went north. The radiation was bad enough by then above the equator that the Japs were trying to set up a colony in Queensland. For the next 20 years I fought them, until it was obvious to even me that it was futile. The entire country was fuedalised, between Australian, American, Japanese and European armies. It was the same from South America to Africa, it was a new colonial period. I quit the miltia and moved back home to Albury, which was under the protection of the Melbourne Clique. I started life new as a farmer.
