Explosion - 34 people injured in TriBeCa high-rise fire; high carbon monoxide levels prompt evacuations
TRIBECA, Manhattan — At least 34 people are injured and a 12-story high-rise has been evacuated after a fire erupted in TriBeCa, causing high levels of carbon monoxide in the area Tuesday morning, according to the fire department.

Multiple people were injured when a fire broke out in TriBeCa on June 13, 2017. (Jeff Benjamin)

"Defective".

More like cutting corners and manufacturers allowing it. They changed the standard for oil and gas fired burners & boilers requiring a lot of safety devices than before.

Most of these owners don't want to spend the extra money for it.

To think that 35 years ago that area was an absolute zoo of crime, especially crack.

Hmmm... waiting to see if the structural damage caused by the fire causes the high-rise building to implode on itself and collapse at free-fall speed...
