What would you do if you were Iran?

Iran should obey all UN resolutions, and dismantle its nuclear program.

They have more than enough oil to supply their energy needs.

If they were not preparing to produce nuclear bombs, they would not now feel threatened.

If I was iran I would have created nukes long ago and I would be making it clear to the world that I had them.

So they have oil to supply energy needs, what do they use for currency to buy the things they need but don't have in abundance? If you're a wheat farmer do you burn eat drive and fertilize with wheat? Does consuming all your own produce make your operation viable? Does signing the NPT guarantee you can not have the rights you were offered when you signed?

I would have my scientist madly scrambling to create the most virulent bio- weapon ever devised by man.Once the United States attacks, they would receive a message that would say "You've got mail".They would think that it was from America Online,they would open it and then "Goodbye"!

US intelligence has made it clear Iran is not pursuing nukes. IF they do covertly have them, which clearly is in doubt, it's because Bush made it clear 6 years ago, that Iran is a target.
So with the absence of nukes as an option, how would you handle the threats from the US?

They have the right to use their limited resources for the benefit of their people. They should have the right to generate nuclear power FOR PEACEFUL PURPOSES ONLY.

If they truly intend on using N technology FOR PEACEFUL PURPOSES ONLY, then why aren't they opening their program for full inspections, and with full disclosure?

If I were they, I would open up the program for the world to see. If I were they, I would try to ensure my children live long and happy lives.

Unfortuneatley, this is not the case, and they must know that deceit will not guarantee long and happy lives for any of their citizens.

If I was running Iran, I'd say that we'd give up our nuclear program just as soon as Israel gave up theirs.

If I was Iran I would not provoke anybody in the Straight of Hormuz and keep all military boats in port in that area.

If I were the leader of Iran, and I knew that US attack was imminent I would do the following:

1) alert my country that it may be annihilated soon
2) assert my connection with the almighty and that all my decisions are really his
3) I would have the men of my country band together and fight with unparalelled ferocity
4) I would hand select the most beautiful women of my country and those of neighboring coutries that were willing to believe my closeness to God bullshit enough to become part of my final Harem
5) I would stay bunkered in my bedroom in my palace with my harem and make love every remaining moment that I had, until....
6) My country, my harem, and I are suddenly vaporized...

So if Iran stops the nuclear program will the US stop blocking investment in Iranian oil infrastructure? I don't think so. So why should they do it, only to go back to square 1 which is the same thing - a hostile US?

Without nukes and alliances with China and Russia Iran would have been liberated of it's oil at the same time Iraq was liberated. Arabistan.

I would have shut up from the beginning and gone about my business quietly. Stealth is still the best practice with anything controversial.
