When Jesus met with the woman at the well and spent the weekend teaching her village about God He was just a prophet as John the Baptist was not yet in prison. Matthew and Mark pick the story up when John is in prison and Jesus became the High Priest at that time, before that He was acting as a Prophet. The teaching from that weekend would be where the Quran sprang from.
