I think you're giving this pope far too much credit. He writes his little missives after the fact then people like you think he's leading a movement. If you knew how weak he was within his own church you would understand that. Socialist in socialist leaning countries love him because he is a hard core socialist and a politician and not a holy man. They accept him as such. He has a pulpit right now but its not a religious one AT ALL.

If there are any Catholics here who feel differently chime in now. I won't attack you or call you names or report your post, I want to hear what your thoughts are on this.

I absolutely know it's going to happen. The idea that religious laws would become enforced was laughed at constantly, and regarded as asinine nonsense. And as the years have passed on there has been less and less laughing, because the very facts that were prophesied are coming to fruition. There is a reason that the nations are bowing down to Pope Francis Climate Change Agenda. And in that agenda, "A Sabbath for the Earth and the Poor" is his suggestion, and remedy for all the problems earth is experiencing. And so this remedy is being pushed by others, as the suggestion to solve climate change, even by religious groups. There is a reason that the religious banter is revving up in the political realm. It is all because they are moving ahead with their prophesied agenda to enforce the religious laws, Sunday Laws, the mark of the beast. And while you might still be in a state of utter disbelief, I tell you:

John 14:29  And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

Its the same thought and feeling shared by millions of Catholics around the globe. He has no power in the Catholic church and is probably one of the weakest, disrespected, disliked popes in modern times. I don't care how many little bulletins he writes. I don't know any Catholics including priests who read them.

Funny. I was raised catholic and church was always on Sunday. They may have had a Sat night service, but I don't remember ever attending it. Besides, Sat night is effectively Sunday anyway as far as Sabbath goes. When I reached my twenties, many truths were revealed to me regarding Jesus and "religions", the main one being the catholic church OPENLY violates two of the ten commandments. I no longer follow or consider myself catholic. I guess I'm a believer without a church.

I don't think I'm giving him too much credit at all. The reason for the success of the COP21 Agreement is because it took a spiritual turn. Their meetings were conducted in a more spiritual way, than a regular business meeting. Not to mention, the Pope's principles are right in the very prologue of it. From the very beginning, Pope Francis has had his influence with these people. And yes, even with Catholics he has an influence. I don't expect the man to be loved by literally every single Catholic. But 195 nations gathering with Pope Francis under encyclical, and you can't see him as the spiritual leader of it all?

That's actually precisely what I would be doing. Trying to preach, while everyone else goes out and desecrates the Sabbath. However, Sunday is not the Sabbath.

I can only say what GFG says repeatedly. Find a spirit filled church. If its a small catholic parish with independence fine, if its not and its a small congregational church fine. To me, its all the same. The important thing is you exercise your faith as you see fit. If you don't want a church at all that's fine too. Keep the faith if not the religion.

You're making it sound like pope Francis invented climate change. I don't know how long its been a movement but its been around a long time. I still remember Gore's "Inconvenient Truth" that was how long ago? Pope Francis took a very popular socialist leaning movement and put his stamp on it just like Gore did. This is what I'm trying to tell you. He does this ALL THE TIME to gain power. He finds a socialist cause and puts out a paper detailing why people of faith should follow it. To my knowledge, he has not written one single thing that wasn't an encapsulation of an already existing socialist movement.
To my knowledge he has not issued one thing on a matter of faith that didn't involve politics. NOT ONE.

I won't go into the Eastern Catholic Orthodox church at this time, but will tell you this. There are Catholic churches popping up or switching all over the place that have nothing to do with Rome, and its going to spread. He will be isolated for what he truly is, nothing more than another politician.

As far as the states mandating that all Christian churches attend services on Sunday only, I still think that's garbage. The separation of church and state people would have a field day with SCOTUS and those people would include millions of Christians who will not be told by the state how and when to worship.

It is one thing if people/cities/states want to voluntarily meet the guidelines in the Paris agreement.

What Trump did was withdraw the US from a situation where non-US, non-elected groups would have had legal control (more so than now) over the country. This agreement is a big step toward a world government.

This is exactly right. The US did not hand over its usual billions to cover for India and China who have done jack to keep their agreements. Two years ago pollution was so bad in China that they made bulletin boards with the sun on it because people hadn't seen it in days. The US should pay for that? No. Trump did the right thing no matter how hard socialists are yelling.

I don't know if the pope is the antichrist or not. For one thing, the antichrist is supposed to be loved and adored by people throughout the earth and I don't know one Catholic who wouldn't kick this pope in the ass for a nickel.

The antichrist is also supposed to present solutions to really insuperable problems and his solutions work. He does this over and over. People say he must be god and he accepts the title. Francis is just a hanger on of socialist ideals. He's not even accepted as the pope by his own people.
