Yeah.
I was also going to add - think about what led to the break up. Sometimes those traits don't leave the person.

Reconnected 30 years later. Butterflies were there, but no "friendship." Not good! It didn't work 30 years ago, and it didn't work 30 years later. Don't let the butterflies fool you!

This is so true. In times of loneliness and sadness we often 'glorify' ex's almost in the same way we glorify mediocre people we knew who died. A seemingly cruel thing to say, but very true with regards to my own past experiences.

Often Ex's are Ex's for a reason, and it needs to stay that way.

I reconnected on facebook with my first love - a relationship that ended 27 years ago. After a long conversation, both us of chuckled realizing we no longer have anything in common.

We wished each other the best, while holding fond memories of our past.

I had a situation end so messy - it was horrible. I wanted to apologize for my behavior but he cut off contact - truth is my behavior was the result of some of his behavior so we were both guilty of being nasty. But I sure hope - some day forgiveness is had and given.

Not in the present but in the future

I have two ex's and neither one is walking through that door.

I ran into an ex at a club in Chicago. Hundreds of miles from where we were together. It was strange.

We dated in college. I took her virginity and by this point she was dating someone else. Dated for two years and almost got married but I was a little too wild for her. Liked the party and drugs.

Anyway we stepped outside to talk and my shit got hard as fuck painful. I was like I have a medical emergency right now. An erection lasting forever.

She started stroking me and we ran to my car and I banged her like I was a cave man mating to save the world.

She soaked the leather and was sliding around. I didn't use a condom. Busted nuts deep in her. She thanked me profusely.

I didn't talk to her after that but looked her up online out of curiosity. She got married soon after that so I forgot about her. Then a few years later I looked her up again and there was a pic of her family. Her 3 kids. Her dark haired husband. And her oldest kid totally blond looking just like me and other males in my family.

Two have tried, but nope. One of them still texts me every few months, but I don't respond. When something ends, I don't look back. I break free forever.

Bro... don't... lie. You done a There's Something About Mary, and got a PI to track her down, then you accidentally on purpose bumped into her coming out of a nightclub. But it didn't work out as planned, at least not when she called you a stalker and tazed your nut sack.

LOL, my current knew perfectly well what I was doing...he wasn't the least bit worried as he is really quite secure in our relationship...

BTW, Mr. Current sees his "ex" almost everyday as they work together.
