It started late very early morning here in Biloxi woke up to mild but its steady now. Mild breezes but nothing blustery yet. Will keep updates from here over the next 3 days as well.

Thanks so much for your input, and check in. hf

Be safe as well !!

Saying Prayers for all touched by this.

edit to add ... find it interesting they have named this system Tropical Cyclone 3 with Bret still to come behind it which Bret actually means "British" hmm wonder how this all ties in.

It has been steady rain here also all day. It has started to get heavier rain and the wind is picking up here in Biloxi some not bad tho. Tomorrow is supposed to be a lot more of both.

Last hurricane season, someone on GLP posted a website that was G-R-E-A-T for keeping track of storms and such. Never had heard of it before, but it became my "GO TO" place all season long.

I've since gotten a new computer, and lost off my faves. Anybody know what the name is?

P.S. It's NOT "Spaghettimodels"

All weather is modified.

No storm of hurricane strength has landed on US soil since 2005.

For 2005, there were about 30 named storms. That was the result of "weather wars" from competing countries and interests.

So the real question is this: If a hurricane hits the US, who benefits?????????

St George Island had a Tornado today - this Island is South of Tallahassee Florida. It damaged several roofs and some tennis courts - so even when the storms aren't right on top of us - the bands and outliers can be dangerous also.

They are saying here to keep eyes open and expecting them also. More likely during the night and tomorrow is going to be the day to keep an eye out here.

Yes the eastern side of the storms due to the rotation of it usually gets hit harder. Just glad that other storm Bret that was behind it dissipated.

I have family in Gulf Shores, AL...This is their first storm! I'm worried.

Should they come farther north to my house in MS? We just don't know what to do.

I understand there is a storm behind this one named Bert! What about this one? Has it fizzled out?

Bret has officially dissipated.

They should be ok , unless they live in an area prone to flooding. I live in Biloxi and I'm not leaving.

It is thundering and lightening so it will intensify in our area over night.
