California, Michigan, and Illinois should be broken apart;

In California, the conservatives have long wanted their territory to break away and become a separate state called, "Jefferson". This would allow them a voice in government and simultaneously cut off the commie nut jobs in the ultra-left cities from their (much needed) revenue.

A similar affect could be created in Michigan ad Illinois.

This way, there would be countering electoral votes to those traditionally eaten up by the democratic, broke cities in those states.

Eventually, it will get fiscally bad enough for the decaying liberal cities that federal help will be sought. And with that help should come reform.
