anyone seeing credit card processing trouble this week?

all over tucson there has been random outages at retailer terminals.

then today i tried to buy something online out of SoCal and they are unable to process cards.

i was told by a guy in the computer world some time back, that he felt the web network was overloaded. he was going to start up a server farm but decided against it because he didnt want to be part of the that if the web was going to crash.
