Gold dropped about $15 dollars (depending where you start your measurement). "Flash crash", really? Someone dumped $2 billion in fake gold, and that's the only effect? This should be considered good news. Similar sums being dumped in the past resulted in much more movement. Paper manipulation is losing viability for banksters.

As for cryptos... they're displaying their typical volatility.

I think it's like a stock split. There was originally only supposed to be like 22 million bitcoins mined, after that production is capped by the entire algorithm.

Some people want to double the amount, or triple the amount. What really needs to happen is that the number of bitcoins that can be mined are based on production, not speculation.

We have enough speculation, look at stocks, completely mis-priced and hundreds of trillions of dollars mis-allocated by central banking malfeasance to make a few more people richer than they already were.

What is the meaning of this?

Last week two large Italian banks failed, and were bailed out at the cost of about 17 billion euros. This may cause fear and trepidation in the paper financials market, causing an exodus to.. where? Gold, BTC, etc! The banksters gasp..
This week is also options expiry on the comex (tomorrow) and the LBMA friday. In order to discourage the investors (that would have been 'in the money' on these gold and silver contracts, they dump on the spot prices.
Even with a humungus dump they got very little results.
Expect more 'flash crashing' all this week.
Old timers knew this was coming, they just never know exactly when or how much.
