Anonymous Coward User ID: 75116764 United States 06/27/2017 11:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How much more libtarded can the government of Venezuela become or go? Unless the people trying to oust Maduro are more leftwing than he is - assuming that's even possible - I'd assume that any group trying to oust the crap that has been wrecking Venezuela for years will be coming from the right, not the left. But one can never be sure with libtards. Perhaps greedy leftwing Venezuelans are angry at the Maduro government for not being greedy enough in their own leftism, so that the spoils of victory haven't blessed enough libtards. ` |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30776013 Before Chavez, all of the power and wealth was concentrated in a handful of elite families. They were known as the oiligarchy, most Venezuelans had nothing. Not saying they are better off today, because they aren't, but they weren't doing any better back then, either. You have two corrupt political ideologies, and none of them serve the people or the country. If you think toppling Maduro and replacing with a neocon globalist things will get better for the people of Venezuela, you are kidding yourself. That's the tragic history of coups and revolutions in Latin America. Lots of pain and blood spent, and when it's over, another corrupt ruling class of a different flavor hangs on to power until they too are toppled. Rinse and repeat. No, before Chavez the power and wealth were concentrated in the hands of a few, thats truth. But there existed a thing called middle income class and it was a prosperous and stable country. Nowadays, the power is concentrated in the hands of one (a dictator), theres no middle income class anymore, people are starving, without medicines and basic hygiene products. An once stable country now is full of political prisoners and in a brink of a civil war. Also, globalists are socialists, not neocons. People are starving and there is chaos in Latin America because under both Bush and Obama, Team Neocon has sanctioned the living hell out of Venezuela and as a result has created conditions of living hell there. Then, when the leaders of those countries rightly consolidate power in order to preserve sovereignty, the Neocons yell "Dictator, Dictator!!" It's an artifical, vicious circle that was dreamed up not by a power-mad Venezuelan dictator but rather by the Deep State in DC. I'm surprised Trump has fallen for the scheme. Jesus Christ, what a bunch of horse shit. Neocons is just the cool world to attack everything you dislike ? Could you please give me a single and real example of what you are talking about ? I mean, what Bush and Obama did to destabilize Venezuela so much ? You must be joking, or a tard, or a State Department employee. The U.S. government backed an unsuccessful coup against the Chavez government in 2002 and since has distributed tens of millions of dollars to opposition groups. After three years, it still withholds recognition of Maduro as Venezuela’s president. These actions speak to the true goal: regime change. In April, 2016 U.S. Senate in April passed a bill renewing economic sanctions against Venezuelan leaders originally imposed in 2014. The House of Representatives followed suit in July, 2016. President Obama signed the bill. And in an executive order he declared Venezuela to be a threat to U.S. national security. The State Department in July, 2016 alerted U.S. travelers to "violent crime" in Venezuela and warned that "political rallies and demonstrations can occur with little notice." Venezuela’s government denounced the sanctions. And a document attributed to Admiral Tidd of the U.S. Southern Command and circulated in early 2016, testifies to a military component of U.S. plans. Hopefully, Trump will come to his senses. But if he continues to take advice from the Neocons, then I foresee only more trouble and losing for Trump and more pain and suffering for Venezuelans. If we had wanted a continuation of the interventionist Neocon foreign policy in Ukraine, Syria and Latin America we would have elected Cankles. Trump is turning out to be a major disappointment and I'm starting to think this "Russia Collusion" story is actually encouraged by Trump in order to keep the eye off the fact that his Foreign Policy is simply a continuation and escalation of the Bush-Obama Neocon Foreign Policy Agenda. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75153350 You ever consider that Venezuelans fucked up their country themselves, instead of blaming US constantly for everything bad that happens anywhere in the world conspiritards? Tard, did Venezuela put sanctions on Venezuela? Answer: no, tard, it was Soros and Team Neocon who put sanctions on Venezuela in order to sow chaos and affect eventual regime change. Sanctions themselves are an act of war, as Ron Paul correctly has noted. And the United States has a long history of meddling in the internal affairs of Latin America. It's racism and imperialism plain and simple. Of course, it used to be the Democrats who were known for this kind of meddling - for example, JFK's meddling in Cuba and the CIA's long history of political assassinations in Latin America in the 50's. Again, Trump has picked the losing side in this struggle, much like he has in Syria. That's what happens when you put Neocon interests ahead of the vital national security interests of the United States. Even before sactions, venezuelan economy was destroyed. Damn, before socialism, 65% of venezuelan economy depended on oil, nowadays its 98. Why ?? Well, because they destroyed the industry of the country (those damn capitalists) thinking they would be able to give stuff for free for the people with the money from oil. They ruined themselves by going full left wing mode. Before Chavez, all of the power and wealth was concentrated in a handful of elite families. They were known as the oiligarchy, most Venezuelans had nothing. Not saying they are better off today, because they aren't, but they weren't doing any better back then, either. Oh, the same path America is on....concentration of power to a few elite families....THIS is why the REPUBLIC form of government MUST be returned. |

Yep, great job giving those supposed millions of dollars to opposition, maybe thats why the political leaders of opposition in Venezuela are on Jail ? Also, the sanctions, as you said, are from 2014, and well, in 2014 Venezuela was already economically and socially destroyed. So, it was not the cause of the destabilization of the country. When Maduro stops to blame USA for everything bad that happens in the country and stops using political prisoners, we can talk about the sanctions. |
