Deep Thinking: Atheist Priests

It's a job.

Right however it's a job that people assume the person becomes 100% immersed and dedicated to.

Do people who work at Taco Bell live their lives "the Taco way", I mean because it is, after all, a job.


Can an atheist become a (legit) preist like the one described above?

Some men with nefarious desires cloak themselves in a virtuous guise to accomplish their foul deeds.

Religion is only a costume for them.

If he does the job well, is that a bad thing? All teaching involves acting, giving a performance. I dare say a believer could justify this by saying this priest was sent from God even though he is not a believer himself. (The religious have a talent for "justifying" stuff.)

I know it's not quite the same but I am a an atheist and a musician. I took a gig playing organ in a a CofE church for a year. The father there was and still is a great friend. He knows I'm a non believer and he reckons that most religious leaders doubt their own faith from time to time.

I am now fully conversant with all manner of hymns, creeds and general church music and am available for weddings, christenings, funerals etc!!

You don't need to be a devote chirstian to be a good priest.

There is a major shortage of catholic priests because its such a long, tenuous, and thankless job. Plus you can never get married and the pay sucks, although they give you free housing lol. I can see why some pedos whould put themselves through this for access to kids, and with the shortage they take any wierdo thats willing to do it.. However there is no way a true athiest would do this even if his parents insisted. There is nooooooo way, and I mean noooo way this is true.
