Iran was western leaning and religiously tolerant in the early 50's prior to the CIA toppling their government to install puppet dictators twice, then funding BOTH SIDES of their civil war...then capping it off by supplying Sadaam Hussein with chemical weapons to exterminate 3 million Iranian civilians. Actually...remember our good ol' boy Sadaam? Maybe we shouldn't have provided military and monetary assistance to enable the illegal occupation of Palestine, huh? Or nuclearized the Middle East? And why the fuck do the Saudis get a free pass on everything again? Ghadaffi was a brutal asshole if you crossed him...but maybe we shouldn't have fucked around in somebody else's back yard without a game plan for afterwards, huh? And now it's Syria. 3. Immigration problems? Well...we didn't have them before all these shitty trade deals now, did we? What exactly do you think is going to happen when you remove taxes, tariffs, penalties, and trade limits for the entire goddamn planet? People are gonna move around, dumbfucks. Nobody was bitching on the Right or Left in the '90's though when their beloved "free markets" simultaneously dropped the price of consumer goods and put up artificially high 40% gains in their 401K's. Gotta love that immediate gratification. 4. Mexican Drug Cartels? Dangerous fuckers for sure AND right next door. You would think we might have interest in eliminating their primary source of revenue and giving up on this idiotic war on drugs already. What's the trump camp's answer? Stephen Miller writes amazing speeches. Whether he writes the majority of the speech or all of it, Trump's speeches during his few National or International addresses have been magnificent. Sure, they are peppered with cliches and simplistic language, but the message is what is important. His speech in Saudi Arabia will be read for decades. There is always the same formula- praise the location he is at, personalize the story by recognizing a hero (who happens to be at the event), song the praises of the US, and set a vision for the future. It is an easy pattern but it works. I liked the message today that when Poland brought God back into their country, their country started thriving again. And Melanie is delightful. |
