Your Madison quote, "We must protect the minority of the opulent from the majority," is taken completely out of context by you here. You would know that if you weren't such an ignoramus, so completely lacking in reading comprehension, history, and civics, that you took it at face value. Madison is referring to the Rights of the Individual (yes, even a wealthy man, who is, himself, an Individual and Minority) upon which the Bill of Rights and Constitution were predicated, that must be protect from Mob Rule (ie the "Majority" here referencing the consequences of a true Democracy). This is why we have a Constitutional Republic, to which this quote refers - to protect the Minority from the Majority. The Individual is the greatest Minority of us all, and, as such, we are all, Collectively as Individuals, Minorities. This fail-safe protects all American Citizens, both Individually and Collectively, from Mob Rule.

It is quite brilliant, actually, in how it makes the wealthy man equal to the least wealthy man, as they are both governed by the same standards and laws, but I don't expect your feeble mind to grasp the brilliance of the Founders without bastardizing their words, much like the Oligarchs have bastardized them to fit their agenda and kept most Americans too ignorant through public school indoctrination to possess the reasoning or true learned education to understand what has been robbed from them.
