Let's make this really easy.
There are 300 million people in the US. (There are more but let's keep the math simple.)
Do $1,000 per person and you're at 300 billion.
That's what you're paying out at $1,000 per person, PER MONTH!
Do it for a year and you're over 3.5 trillion.
Remember, you said Universal, not selective, everyone gets it.
Imagine the cottage industry you'll create for women having babies...

The numbers can be slightly adjusted for "max allowed" per family, etc. Everyone is missing the three KEY points. 1. US CITIZENS ONLY. Right now, millions of illegals get US taxpayer food stamps, welfare, etc. 2. END ALL EXISTING GOVERNMENT PAYOUTS. That means ending the programs, the money they payout, the bloated staffs, etc. End food stamps, welfare, social security, disability, etc. END ALL of those programs and use that money to pay for ONE simple program that actually benefits everyone and the economy. 3. People are free to go out and make more to have better lives but the fear of becoming homeless is removed for US citizens. This. Excellent plan but to many sleazy politicians getting kickbacks to approve such a sane idea.
