Hi!

..my late dad was born in 1911, and recalled going to London to visit my grandads relitives in Stepney.and also watch at the railway station as grandad went back to the front in WW1
.My late grandad, the soldier, was born in London on the 1880's, he was already a serving soldier at the very start of WW1, and saw action on every major battlefield of thst war in France, as a medic/stretcher bearer. He told me so many stories of the war and the trenches
Of the last British cavelry charge against germen machine gun posts and mustard gas..I was around 10 at the time...He was a fantastic guy..My dad watched as a child as the German zeppelins bombed London by night.
Lin Ww11 my mum was a nurse working at the main hospital in Exeter, Devon and was there during the bliz she has her eardrums blown out by a bomb precussion.
