If I call 911 from my house on a landline and hang up the police still come to my house to do a check. I wonder if she called the police from her house on a landline to report hearing gunshots or whatever and hung up? Maybe she was talking to one of the ball players on the phone when the shots started and she called the police, or she knew before that this would take place and called to divert the police. The police would respond to her home if she called them. There would be no other reason for the police to go to her house w/o linking something to her address. 911 would have records of what number called and a recording of the person on the phone.
