Well duh. Took two dues with PHDs to tell us what we already know. FFS we likely paid for the study as well through some type of grant from the Federal government.

Re: Adios, Land of the Free? New Princeton study says we're an oligarchy now
How do Americans deal with hypocrisy today?

You might live in a warm place and own a new car listening to good music with an excellent stereo after you ate a delicious dinner and feel pretty good about living in a free country, but how does being tracked and wiretapped 24/7 feel?

Americans may feel like they are good people even when they commit three felonies a day just by existing.

How do Americans justify paying taxes when their taxes fund rising debt, Obamacare, food stamps, regulations, US wars, illegal immigrants, nanny state laws, security cameras, license plate readers, checkpoints, redlight cameras, speed cameras, FBI facial and voice recognition, curfews, gun bans, NSA wiretapping, the end to the right to silence, free speech bans, searches without warrants, private prisons, mandatory minimums, 3 strikes laws, CISPA, SOPA, IMBRA, private prison quotas, no knock raids, take down notices, no fly lists, terror watch lists, Constitution free zones, stop and frisk, 3 strikes laws, kill switches, National Security Letters, DNA databases, kill lists, FBAR, FATCA, Operation Chokepoint, TSA groping, civil forfeiture, CIA torture, NDAA indefinite detention, secret FISA courts, FEMA camps, laws requiring passports for domestic travel, IRS laws denying passports for tax debts, gun and ammo stockpiles, laws outlawing protesting, police militarization, chain gangs, boot camps, and Jade Helm?

Americans might feel like they live in a moral country, but how can a nation that tortures and launches endless wars take the moral high ground on anything?

How could Americans not feel responsible for US wars, debt, and tyranny?

How would the founding fathers think about the collapse of the USA?

The American default reaction to hard facts seems to be to not think and to silence those who speak the truth, but facts don't cease to exist because they are ignored.

Future generations will ask why Americans didn't resist when the US became a police state.

One thing worse than learning that you live in a police state is finding out that no one cares.

The only realistic option left for a moral American seems to be to renounce your citizenship.

They do a lot of virtue signaling and believe being a limousine liberal or champagne socialist absolves one of all sins, shame and guilt.

They think that because people similar to Barack and Hillary are nicey-nice liberals, they're automatically honest, ethical, non-greedy, non-inhumane. They're automatically so loving, so kind, so "I feel your pain."

Nicey-nice-nice libtards are so nicey-nice-nice.

Re: Adios, Land of the Free? New Princeton study says we're an oligarchy now
One reason why Americans don't speak out more often is that the intelligence agencies retaliate against dissent.

Innocent, defenseless people have their lives destroyed for the "crime" of being honest. I know because it happened to me.

In the course of doing my job as a journalist and reporting the truth -- that the CIA killed President Kennedy and the FBI covered it up -- I incurred the wrath of the Freemasons, and they control everything in the USA.

They destroyed my career and blacklisted me, and newspapers were more than happy to go along with the program.

Oligarchy meaning 'to rule or to command', is a form of power structure in which power rests with a small number of people. These people may be distinguished by nobility, wealth, family ties, education or corporate, religious or military control. Such states are often controlled by families who typically pass their influence from one generation to the next, but inheritance is not a necessary condition for the application of this term.

Re: Adios, Land of the Free? New Princeton study says we're an oligarchy now
Life has no meaning without freedom.

Americans used to be able to work hard and keep what they earned. Now there is really no reason to work since everything is illegal and the 1% will end up with everything through taxes, forfeiture, fines, inflation, tariffs, subsidies, and fees.

Americans are just animals at this stage. We're being watched 24/7, NSA is wiretapping our phones, listening to our words, reading our emails, and recording our web history. The NSA has our pictures, knows our address, Social Security numbers, phone numbers, purchases, current location, plans, doctors, lawyers, and what we had for dinner yesterday. If you wrote a book, the NSA would read it before you published it.

The government wants to tell us what to do, what to think, where to live, how to live, what to wear, and what to eat. Saying you live in a free country with a straight face is difficult when everything is illegal.

Nothing will ever improve because the surveillance technology will always exist and become more powerful.

Colonists living under King George had much more freedom than Americans do today.

How did the Soviets survive? Why do North Koreans get up in the morning?

The war has started.

We have reached the point when Americans should just burn their driver licenses, SSN cards, passports, and birth certificates and stop being slaves. Everything has become a joke.

Before a battle, soldiers are told to think that they are already dead so they will be brave. Americans should have the same thinking when fighting for freedom today. Americans have nothing to lose resisting tyranny except their chains. Americans must expect that they will need to spend some money, get arrested, and risk being killed. Freedom should be in the DNA of every American.

Americans might lose fighting the elites, but Americans must never give up and make tyranny easy to implement.
