i was considering immigrating to America, but since I'm a Pakistani, my chances of getting a visa are nil, with the current political environment being what it is. i was a Trump supporter btw, but I can understand why it wouldn't make sense for me try to live in some small rural town in the Us.
i had high hopes for moving and settling in some European country as well. but now those countries are being overrun with the same jerks I deal with in my own country.

i guess i could try for any kind of job in the Caribbean, or someplace else tropical and near an ocean. just as long as I finally leave this country for any greener pastures

Don't give up that easily. Read the laws/rules and get to meeting them.

Actually, if you give up because it's hard and because it may seem impossible - you'll likely never fit into the culture here. It's the common thread among all our forefathers - the willingness to sacrifice everything to come here and then to work harder than you ever thought you could to succeed.

What's happened now is that even though Americans have it in their DNA - the last few generations have made it too easy and we've gotten lazy. Giving immigrants, like you possibly, the edge in success.

We see today's immigrant invasions that came following the more subtle and useful to some invasion by a lesser threatening species.
With that blind eyed turn of the corrupt ones to the lesser invader came also to future destructive, lethal and toxic ones.

Ironic you say that because that is exactly the same thing the natives of north and South America said to the settlers from Europe ...stay there and fix it.
