Question for Christians: A person reading Tarot cards is basically opening themselves up to demons aren't they?
I have a friend who reads tarot cards for money and she seems like a very nice girl, but I can't get past the fact that she is probably allowing herself to become open conduit for demonic influence in her life.

From a Christian standpoint, tarot cards are pretty much a direct way of communicating with evil spirits isn't it? It has been tempting to hang out with her more and she has even shown some subtle romantic interest, but I can't help but feel that she will just bring me down spiritually. I took her to church before and she said that she had stopped doing the tarots, but after not seeing her for a while she started doing them again and just ended up charging more money for her readings.

I'm only asking for a Biblical, Christian perspective on this. I feel like I am being tempted into getting more attached to someone who is going to stumble my walk.

Yes, just like Quiji boards. They are a symbol or tool of witchcraft, etc.

Intention is everything. If she uses to try to gain for herself - it will backfire. If it is to help people, and as a tool, not a master, it can be beneficial...

However... slippery slope and all that... which refers back to the first statement.

You're right, I do know the answer in my heart and spirit. It seems as if the devil comes to tempt us in pretty packages when we are at our loneliest. Prayers would be appreciated from strong and mature believers out there.

And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a SPIRT OF PYTHON met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying/being a seer.

They are a mirror, an oracle, and Keys that unlock other things. What they unlock is far beyond anything you can conceive of, yet they have some independent attributes. People with impure spirits that look into the mirror are likely to see unpleasant things. Don't blame the mirror when it reflects your own demons.

I don't believe that God wants me to be involved with her or pursue her at all. I keep having that Proverb brought to my mind that says "beauty is fleeting and charm is deceptive...".

Being scared of tarot cards is silly.

Re: Question for Christians: A person reading Tarot cards is basically opening themselves up to demons aren't they?
FOOL

tarot-00

Waite commentary...

With light step, as if earth and its trammels had little power to restrain him, a young man in gorgeous vestments pauses at the brink of a precipice among the great heights of the world; he surveys the blue distance before him-its expanse of sky rather than the prospect below.

Now look up the word 'Gorgeous' in the KJV...

Luke 23:11
"And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate"

Is the Tarot Card mocking Jesus?

More Waite commentary...

"...it is as if angels were waiting to uphold him, if it came about that he leaped from the height"

Now compare to the KJV...

Matthew 4:6
"And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone"

The entire deck is about mocking Jesus, the Bible and Christians.

Most practitioners are completely ignorant of what the images actually mean.

Re: Question for Christians: A person reading Tarot cards is basically opening themselves up to demons aren't they?
Sorcery of the Ov & the Y'doa is forbidden....ie, evil spirits and messing around with the dead.

But many of these people say they associate it as a psychological reflection, an inteospective tool or that they regard it as seeking heaven's guidance or perspective and I think according to the manual, "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me" and "thou shalt test any spirits that come to you" pretty much covers that one would think?
"Don't be Google" heh

One thing I noticed is that all those cards are associated with constellations and represent houses and degrees....so if one had the head, they could look at it as astronomical configurations?
I noticed that because genesis states that god said "let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven.....and let tjem be for signs and for seasons and for days and fir years" (gen: 1:14

So i wondered really, in the final analysis if it doesn't lead to that? Symbols of the signs god left up there?

So mayne the mind/spirit of the thinker is a factor?

Tarot cards are no different than baseball cards....pieces of cardboard with pictures on them. The only difference is how people get scammed by them. "Readings" vs. "collecting". Nothing demonic, just plain human greed.

Re: Question for Christians: A person reading Tarot cards is basically opening themselves up to demons aren't they?
Well, from a Biblical Christian point of view

the bible says not to

but

the bible was edited to control the masses
and keep people from communicating with their Higher Selves and Divine Guides.

If you protect yourself spiritually,
surround yourself with white light
raise your vibration high, like Jesus' vibration

then you are protected and will only communicate with Divine Beings.

Meditate on it, ask Jesus what to do.
Stay away from books edited to control the masses...

btw, the people who I find with entities in their aura, are usually christians, since they constantlly focus on demons which attracts more of them.
