Re: Let's play "What would you do if...?"
I find it interesting that intelligence is a brain thing; and that evil is a brain thing. We know that if the brain is working correctly, "evil" can not exist. If the brain is working correctly, everyone just gets along.

We know that genetics plays the ultimate roll in brain development, and, we inherit our brain from mommy and daddy and the rest of the family members. If there was a "problem" in the family, we "could" get it.

Now, if "other beings" were 1000 times smarter than were are now, and, knew 1000 times more about genetics and physical development, it would seem to me that "development" would be monitored and any destructive abnormalities would be eliminated.

We talk today about "bad aliens." In a culture where mental illness, traumatic brain injury, and any other source of brain / thought degeneration can take place, exactly how tainted are the thoughts we are dealing with? Aliens come in the night, they say, and do horrible things to me. Do they? I am 57 years old and that has never once happened to me. Something isn't right with our thinking. Logic, to me, dictates that beings who are 1000 times smarter than we are, who would "know" what evil was, would eliminate it. I say, we are projecting our thoughts of fear and stupidity into the sky, and labeling things as we see them here. WE are our enemy, and we aren't even smart enough to see it.

Religion is delusion. I have already shown on this forum that the christian religion is wrong because the people 2000 years ago believed, and recorded, the fact that the so-called END OF ALL was supposed to have happened then - and it DIDN'T. Jesus, Paul and all the rest, were not only dead wrong, but, their great and loving god did NOTHING to save them from being killed at the hands of the insane of the day. As far as the Mohammad goes, if he believed in Jesus as a part of this picture, and believed Jesus was coming back, he too was wrong. Ergo the Muslim belief has an established error and cannot be of god either. I understand Mohammed's approach was a blood-bath. I have not studied this so I am not sure, but, if Mohammed slaughtered the amount of people that I have heard about for his god, this make him as insane as Mayans, who had no problem slicing the hearts out of living people "to please the gods." These people were psychotic.

Would I go? Damn skippy I would go. I have had it with the bullshit that has replaced thinking on this planet. You can all live together and destroy what is left of humanity after the destruction happens - given the chance, I would be out of here in a heart beat.

According to everything I have looked at over the last 30+ years, the base premise it true. In other words, this IS why they are here. No "date" exists, nor will it because of the stupidity that runs rampant on this planet.

Do these countries have the airlift and boatlift capability of mounting an effective invasion? It would take thousands of very large boats and aircraft just to transport 1/2 million, and they would be detected far in advance. 500,000 invaders would barely be able to occupy just one region, such as the Southeast. They'd be outnumbered something like 100:1 just in the Southeast.

If you want to go and you're fat, you'll be left
behind. That would leave most behind.

Better go on a diet.

Seize the ship, split the scene and eject any objectors into space.

Re: Let's play "What would you do if...?"
UFOs have revealed themselves and are no longer unidentified. The visitors offer you and your family a one-way trip away from earth to a safe planet because of increasingly destructive earth-changes, which scientists predict that in a very short time will make life on earth hell, if you're lucky enough to live. On the other hand, churches, Christian and Islamic alike, are advising strongly not to get on the UFOs, that it's a trick and that you'll wind up in the devil's stew, so to speak. They say the aliens really want your soul and will kill you once you give them permission to take you away.

This isn't as unlikely as you might think, so, what would you do?

but ,..."what if" they were giants,... huh!??,... ever think of that? l o l :)
then the would have a chance. a big chance, all puns intended.
and as for being detected in advance,.. don't they have a phase shift ability and hyper dimensional travel?? ,..we wouldn't see them coming until they were already up our wahzoos with one of those bulbous probes.

in my "what if?", i like to paint them in a positive, friendly light. my glass is half full. cheers!
