They can dramatically increase the number of sorties flown. And they can move around which keeps them safe from a blind enemy's missiles (and blinding Kim would be a priority). They are capitol ships though and will not be sailed into harms way unnecessarily. Like you say we have land based assets that do the initial softening up, but I expect carriers would arrive shortly thereafter. |
