Naked man squirts his hose at cops while on school roof

An emotionally disturbed man climbed to the roof of a Greenwich Village school and removed his clothes while squirting a garden hose at cops, authorities said Wednesday.

Police were called around 10:10 p.m. Tuesday to the Little Red School House & Elizabeth Irwin High School near Sixth Avenue and Bleecker Street, where they found the 36-year-old screaming incoherently atop the building.

The nude man eventually made his way down to a lower ledge, where he could be seen swinging the hose and periodically spraying water at the cops who were trying to convince him to come down.

The man initially refused to comply with police but eventually surrendered around 1 a.m.

The unidentified man was taken to Beth Israel Hospital for a psychological evaluation, officials said.
