I invented a resealable beer can.
Because everyone always leaves beer in their open can.
I lost millions on that one.
Quoting: The Comedian :D Is that a true story?
Crazy if true.
Guess on the flip-side, if a person loses millions, at least they gained the knowledge of how to
make millions along the way.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34398756 No, it's a joke.
I've lost millions in much more interesting ways.
Quoting: The Comedian :D OK we have something in common.
I developed a unique insert that went inside a can for competitions. Pop the lid and if you're a winner, a small bouy pops up with 'winner' written on it.
The only way the bouy could come out was to destroy the can.
It was initially developed for Coca Cola here in OZ, but they liked it so much, they showed it to the US division.
Coke owned a few liquor companies here, and the first few trials were really successful, and I did OK.
Coke was really interested to use it as an exclusive mechanism for the brand, sub brands and aligned interests.
We agreed on a hand over figure, to be paid in 4 lump sums.
Then the USFDA had a look at it, and reasoned that someone could indeed pull the can apart, destroy the mechanism, put it in their mouth, and choke.
That is pretty much the exact wording.
It was deemed a choking hazard.
So over night all deals were off. I still have the patent, but regardless of the successful trials here, everyone still comes back to the USFDA failed report.
Urgghhh...
