Hospitals around the U.S. put on high alert for eclipse??

Well, fuck you Mr. F. Lee Bailey(look it up), I AM in the path of totality, as a matter of fact one of the longest periods of darkness in the country @ over 2min 39 seconds. In addition, I never claimed anything to do with an email. Your reading comprehension sucks major ass.

Canadian Geese migration is a bigger threat.

Yes emergency services in the path of totality are and will be on high alert.
The majority of people will have a brain and not look up during this time BUT you would be surprised and the ignorant ones who think " I be aight " and look up. Enough said on that fact.
Also the schools do need alerted responders in case of an emergency with a small child. Lets hope this is not needed.
The extra crowds milling around your town/s will also present a problem. I know in our town alone we are expecting 100-200,000 extra people and trust me 75,000 or more will be the WRONG kind of people you want milling around your community.
My hope for all of us is, this ordeal passes with no problems with humans or nature. It is an experience for so many to see and be a part of, and for little kids it will be such a big ordeal even though they may not understand it.
In short folks, have a heart, have a brain, and enjoy this eclipse through the eyes of a small child for the experience it should be.

Pardon me but I don't think Canadian Geese migration cause massive traffic jams with too many tourists drunk, driving for extremely long hours without sufficient R&R and water breaks, or just not paying close enough attention to unfamiliar roads. Unfortunately heat and humidity makes those easy to anger in today's trying and stressful times far, far worse.

I had 2 opportunities to travel with super experienced drivers to see the eclipse. No thanks. I'm not a risk taker. Will pray the nearby hospitals were warned of an increase in potential demand unnecessarily.

I'm in SW Idaho and all the lights on Hwys are flashing and signs say "Eclipse August 21st", it's kind of hard to read the rest at 80 mph. Hotels are booked, planes flying in well after sunset. I'm sure there will be a lot of traffic accidents and hospitals may get full quickly. Hopefully people won't get shit faced drunk before noon (when it happens) but it wouldn't surprise me.
