Wednesday they had campus cops on bikes making more rounds than normal.

Town police had a cop stationed in his car for half the day.

The University has a very sophisticated camera system to monitor the monument day and night.

All the students come back this weekend because the Fall semester starts on Tuesday.

I predict they will be looking for something to do before classes begin.

There are 2 barriers set up:

1st provides only about 6 foot perimeter,
2nd barricade is roughly 40 feet from statue.

They are all chained and locked together to prevent
them from being breached.

Police meeting and setting up command post in a building on campus as we speak.

Saw over 25 marked and unmarked cars. Campus police, town and state troopers.

Pickup truck bed filled to the brim with cases of bottled water.
