It has at least two propellers or screws on each side of the keel. You can still steer the ship but its not maneuverable. Power down one side and power up the other screw. Still does not explain the non-shear condition. They say they had power but no steering ? It was daylight. They could have steered away from that other tanker vessel as the centuries would have seen it at least 10 nautical miles. They could have started steering the ship long before it got hit. Another lie. |

If you know metals, it could be that the metal from the other ship is rusting, from particles left from the other ship. If you have quality metal hit by a cheap metal the metal fragments from the other cheap metal may be rusting, instead of the metal of quality. Depends ! IMHO ! Still does not explain the non-shear condition. |
