I found out about this technology about 3 years ago, before the USS Donald Cook fiasco. The Russians had it at that time because they sponsored and then paid for it from the inventor. I have no knowledge about Chinese involvement in this, but obviously they now have it too. Both the Fitzgerald and this ship were victims of advanced electromagnetic tech. When I first discovered it, it was then advertised as capable of stopping a Thermonuclear ICBM, causing it to be "inert!" Supposedly, it was available to the US then as well as China. Back then it was reported that both refused to buy on to it. The origin was an Iranian scientist. By the way, not only was the USS Donald Cook stopped dead in the water in the Black Sea in 2005, but the same US Naval ship was also stopped dead in Feb 2016 in the Baltic sea. During that encounter the media reported that a Russian aircraft buzzed the ship and the Media asked why the Navy didn't shoot it down. The reply was that the plane was presenting no threat, just flying low sending a signal. They NEVER reported or admitted that once again the Cook was "dead in the water" which one could easily see on Media video. When they panned across the stern while following the aircraft there was NO WAKE! The Cook was obviously not moving and therefore was likely incapable of defending itself or firing on the Russia A/C. My concern is not that Russia and maybe China have this tech, but why did the US allow TWO SUCCESSFUL ATTACKS ON THE USS COOK AND NOW ON TWO MORE DESTROYERS OF THE SAME CLASS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GLOBE! INSANE! If I could find out about this new tech, anybody could. Oh! maybe not the Navy!

I dont' know why we are even discussing military radars and secret navy stuff. I've been at sea for last 30 years, crossed Singapore straits many times, there is always visual watch on both bridge wings, any ship getting too close to your vessel is contacted at once on radio,any strange manouver is reported to Singapore Traffic, and so on...To hit a Navy ship from the side , by an oil tanker moving at 10-12 knots , that is extremely hard to imagine.
Investigation would show very clear by both ship bridge data recorders, what has actually happened( ship course, speed,etc)-except if it is too embarrassing for US Navy in this case.

It is too embarrassing for US Navy. They here watching the show.

I was in the Navy long ago - you never went to sea without the redundant power system - all Navy vessels are built with dual power or twin screws - they had one class at one time of 6 DE's that only had one shaft but still had dual power systems
