If you think even more the total shutdown of the ship makes sense. Why were people still in the birthing area when a ship was going to hit the destroyer ? Because the could not make an open call on the com system ?

During the last three months you've seen the crews of two US navy destroyers and two merchant ships being mentally manipulated to produce the collisions of their ships.

Here's a Theory.
The boat was disabled on purpose (Foreign or Domestic) when crosssing another ships route resulting in said collision.

This is GLP and there are always several threads about the rapture. Almost daily.

Now...the future.....
In the future, moment unknown to me, three very lage ships each several thousands of miles diameter, will manifest around the Earth. Everyone can see at least one ship at any moment of the day.

The ones that behaved to bad will, within seconds, get a deep green skin. Just to let them know they have very little time to say their last words to the ones they did care for.

One to three days later they will be vanished and their clothes dropped where they stood.

The difference with the "rapture"?

The good stay and the bad go.
A few million go instead of a fixed number of 144,000.

The ones that got the green skin will have one of the following two destinations:
The "last resort"
Hell

Both were never there before but will be created at that time.

"last resort"..a short description.

Not on Earth, it will be on one of those ships.
About the size of Australia, but very different.
It will have the looks of Siberia, lots of marsh, cold and inhospitable. There will be loads of nasty insects and nasty plants. There will also be lots of good nutritious and healing plants.
The people there are supposed to live in harmony with nature, to not kill any animal on purpose, not even a fly.
Even logging has rules there.
If they do break one of those rules, they die and go to hell.

Some remarkable things about the "last resort".
When they come there they get a half build log cabin, they have to do the other half themselves.
They get hammers and nails, saws, axes and chisels and some pots and pans and kitchen utensils. Some steel wire and rope.
The get start food, they get cloth tarps, some soap and stuff like that. They get a bunch of boxes of matches and one of those Cerium sparky rods.

The weather will be very strange, one moment sunny and nice, two hours later golf ball hail. Stuff like that. It could be the opposite 3 miles from that place.

If they survive, they just survive. But in the end go to Hell.

If they learn to work together with others they go either back to Earth or to the afterlife.

I prefer not to describe Hell.

Perhaps it should be called the USS McShame.
