Playing devil's advocate here (excuse the pun), but what does his religion have to do with anything? There are Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, atheists, agnostics etc., etc., who do what he is accused of. Evil isn't just for Satanists. I'm pretty sure torture and child-rape are enough to condemn anyone, whether they worship Beelzebub or not.

Normally it wouldn't, but your dealing with mind control! It's not like he is in control of a cream puff factory, it's mind control and using it in a decidedly evil fashion. Aquino isn't head of the NSA--he's just a general in the NSA. I don't know his exact job position there--a quick Google search didn't turn that up. But you can bet they're using his creepy knowledge to screw with people.
