Aerosmith released Toys in the Attic in 75 and took 18 years to release another good album with more than 2 decent songs on it. Jimmy Page wrote and produced 6 legendary albums crammed with bold new material in the space of just 6 years, while touring the world in between. Joe Perry and Brad Whitford are incredible guitarists but they relied heavily on outside producers to focus their writing & playing in the studio. Page in his prime was the ultimate rock guitarist. mysterious, dangerous, intelligent, powerful but also sensitive, creative and virtuoso. All those bands you mention are great so I don't really care.

Last year I sat in a restaurant a few tables away from Robert Plant.

I gotta say... I saw Zep in '75... and they were horrible.

And I'm a big fan.

Let me chime in here, Led Zeppelin is a rip off band. They suck. Halestorm with Lizzy Hale at the lead is way better in my view. She has a great woman's voice and is a woman not a man trying to sound like one. And if they do a cover song it's just that a cover song.

Another troll thread. If you want to know about Zeppelin just ask the musicians themselves. They are the most copied and most influential rock band ever. In terms of sheer scope of work and musical styles, no other band even comes close. The science is settled on this and has been for decades.
