You know most of these power plants run 24/7 right? And in order to evaporate more water than they normally do, they would have to divert heat from generating power to evaporating water?

And that would require special designing of the plant's cooling system, which might raise a red flag among the hundreds of engineers involved in designing said cooling system?

Did you know that most of the gas turbine power plants built in the past 10 years have closed circuit cooling systems (much like a car's radiator) that don't evaporate any water whatsoever into the atmosphere?

Do you really think a few hundred power plants, which only have access to as much water that they can pump out of an onsite well, can really cause flooding over such a massive state like Texas????????????????????
