my ancestors were in nova scotia for 100 years and then the British came and burned their churches and took their farms. my ancestors were then loaded on boats and sent to various places in america in the middle of winter and many died. (this was the french and indian war)

as ed leedskalnin says, invaders want the PROPERTY (NOT the people!)

so the powers that were... went into these countries like Syria and took control and sent the people packing--especially soldier- aged people. they don't give a crap where they go. they just want them gone, so they can have the place.

smart/strong countries wouldn't take them... our countries have been softened... probably purposefully.

and of course the refugees want to come to the places with the most free stuff.
